Kandy | Esala Perahera Festival
A grand 10-night religious and cultural pageant featuring majestic decorated elephants, traditional Kandyan dancers, and whip-crackers. It honors the Sacred Buddha Tooth Relic and prays for rain. Celebration happens in August every year.
