Solo Adventure in Hạ Long Bay: Discovering Emerald Waters and Limestone Islands
The unforgettable solo trip to Hạ Long Bay was filled with emerald waters, towering limestone islands, and rainforests. Despite the rain and fog, cruising on a luxurious junk boat allowed me to soak in the mesmerizing scenery and spot sea kayakers. Hạ Long Bay offers incredible experiences like scuba diving, rock climbing, and hiking in the mountainous Cát Bà National Park. Embrace the adventure and explore this stunning natural paradise.

My Memorable Ha Long Bay Adventure: VietJet and Junk Cruise Experience
I took VietJet from Da Nang to Ha Long Bay and arranged a private car to the port for my Junk Cruise adventure. If you’re in Hanoi, you can choose between a bus or van to transport you from your hotel to the pier.
Upon arriving at the port, guests register and wait in the lounge area for the call to board. A smaller boat transports everyone to the cruise. As I boarded, I received an orientation that covered all the details, including a safety guide and my room key.
The one-night stay on the Junk Cruise was unforgettable, even though it would have been even better with a travel companion. The boat glided smoothly through the calm waters of the bay, anchoring in a serene open area surrounded by limestone mountains.
For the return journey, the Junk Cruise took me back to the boarding point, where I could choose between a private car or a shared bus back to Hanoi. The 2.5-hour drive, via Hai Phong, included a brief stop for stretching and a nature break. The trip concluded with drop-off right in front of my hotel.
